On 22 October 2025, Podium hosted the second International Horseracing Data Conference at AWS London, bringing together more than 75 attendees from leading rightsholders, sportsbooks, racing authorities, technology partners, and media organisations across the world.
A High-Quality Audience & Strong Industry Representation
The conference attracted senior figures from organisations including ARC, RMG, At The Races, Flutter, Unibet, SIS, TPD, Weatherbys, HRI, The Jockey Club, ATG, Dolby, among others. Engagement across sessions was strong, with excellent participation and discussion throughout the day.
Across four sessions, three panel discussions and one AWS-led presentation, speakers explored the key data, technology, and commercial challenges facing global horseracing:
- Global Data Interoperability: Calls for standardisation and improved data sharing frameworks to reduce fragmentation and enable international growth.
- Data Ownership & Commercialisation: Recognition that collaboration, clarity, and innovation are essential to unlocking value across the ecosystem.
- AI & Machine Learning: AWS showcased the transformational potential of predictive modelling and risk engines, sparking strong interest among attendees.
- Fan Engagement: Broad agreement that better data-driven content and analytics are critical to attracting and retaining racing audiences.
What Attendees Told Us
The overall sentiment was one of enthusiasm and desire for continued engagement, via online sessions, ongoing discussions, and an annual meetup.
Collaboration is key, not individual isolated efforts, whilst technology & data innovation will be central to racing’s long-term commercial viability. There is a strong appetite across the industry for Podium to continue convening the sector and leading conversations.
Operational Excellence
Thanks to all who supported the day, the event ran smoothly and achieved strong attendance. Invitations were timed well ahead of holidays, and the SBC Summit, which helped drive momentum and stakeholder engagement.
What’s Next
Feedback reaffirmed the need for an industry-wide forum focused on collaboration, something Podium is well-positioned to lead and discussing in the background, we will update you in due course.
